The Internationals at the Albert Hall took place this October with so many beautiful couture dresses dazzling the dancefloor. Months of planning and preparation goes into this event – not only with the dancers working hard with lessons and practice, but also in the head office with over 20 NEW couture dresses getting made for our Sponsored Gold dancers alone, as well as dresses for our fabric sponsors and customers.
‘We have a fantastic couture team here at CHRISANNE CLOVER who are all experts in their own field. We can have up to 6 people working on one dress at different points in its life. The pure construction of a dress can take 16-36 hours to make up a garment. It can also take an incredible 8 to 36 hours of crystallizing, depending on the complexity of the design. Our embellisher artists place each crystal by hand, using only the best with Crystals from Swarovski®
There will be a vast collection of designs hand drawn by our amazing designers, where the strongest designs then get drawn up in digital format which is then signed off by myself to go ahead with production. The dress is then checked by the designer as it is getting made by the dressmakers, certain details such as embroidery and draping are pinned by the designer for the dress maker to copy. When the dress is complete with crystals, the couture is checked by our designers and maybe extra crystals are applied to complete the desired look and finish. ’

ERIC AND LIIS
We are grateful that with the help of our teachers and friends, we have started a new chapter of our dance journey together. Although this is a new partnership, we felt blessed and have thoroughly enjoyed dancing in the Royal Albert Hall last night.
As always, our special thanks go to Cimen School for their support, and of course our gratitude to Hanson & Carolina, who are always there for us.
Not the least, thanks to our wonderful sponsors:
Chrisanne Clover, Nayi, IDS dance shoe and Lella.
Everyone of you have helped us in a special way. We would not be where we are today without you.
