Kristi and Warren Boyce: A Ballroom Legacy of Champions, Teachers and Industry Leaders
In the history of competitive ballroom dancing, few partnerships have achieved the consistency, longevity, and influence of Kristi and Warren Boyce. As British National Champions, World Champions, renowned coaches, and respected ambassadors for the dance industry, they have left an extraordinary mark on ballroom dancing both on and off the competition floor.
A Partnership Built on Dance
Kristi Boyce was born and raised in Tallinn, Estonia, where she began dancing at the age of four at Danceclub Leevi, a studio still operated today by her mother, Eve End. Meanwhile, Warren Boyce grew up in Bournemouth, England, immersed in a family tradition of ballroom excellence. He began dancing at the age of six at Nice 'n Easy Dance Studios, founded by his parents, Glenn and Lynette Boyce, who were World and European Ballroom Champions in the mid-1970s.
The pair began dancing together in 2000 and quickly demonstrated exceptional chemistry. Remarkably, they became British National Ballroom Champions just weeks after forming their partnership. What started as a competitive collaboration soon developed into a lifelong relationship; the couple married and built a family together while maintaining a world-class dancing career.
Their son, Glenn-Richard Boyce, has continued the family's remarkable dance tradition, winning an impressive number of World Championship titles from a young age.
Record-Breaking Competitive Success
Over nearly two decades of competition, Kristi and Warren established themselves among Britain's most successful ballroom couples.
Among their most notable achievements are:
Nine-time British National Professional Ballroom Champions.
UK Closed Professional Ballroom Champions.
Six-time British National Amateur Ballroom Champions.
World Amateur Ballroom Champions.
Blackpool, UK Open and International Championship Professional Finalists.
Two-time fourth-place finishers in the World Dance Council Professional World Rankings.
One of their most remarkable accomplishments was breaking long-standing records in both amateur and professional competition. After winning six consecutive Amateur British National Championships, they later surpassed the professional record by claiming seven consecutive British National Professional Championship titles in all dances.
These achievements firmly established them among the elite couples of their generation.

Blackpool: The Ultimate Stage
Like many ballroom dancers, Kristi and Warren consider the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival their favourite competition. Widely regarded as the most iconic event in ballroom dancing, Blackpool played a significant role throughout their careers.
One of their proudest achievements was reaching their first Blackpool Grand Final as amateurs and then continuing to appear in the final for six consecutive years. They later added four professional Blackpool finals to their record, further cementing their position among the sport's leading competitors.
In 2018, they officially announced their retirement from competitive dancing during the Blackpool Dance Festival after making their final competitive appearance while representing Great Britain in the Team Match.
Different Favourite Dances, One Shared Vision
Although successful across all ballroom disciplines, each dancer has personal favourites.
Kristi particularly enjoys the elegance and expressive qualities of the Waltz and the dramatic character of the Tango. Warren, meanwhile, favours the smooth sophistication of the Slow Foxtrot and the energy and rhythm of the Quickstep.
Together, their diverse strengths helped create a balanced partnership capable of excelling across every dance in the ballroom repertoire.
Building Champions Beyond Their Own Career
While their competitive achievements are extraordinary, perhaps their most enduring contribution to the dance world has been through teaching and coaching.
Based at Nice 'n Easy Dance Studios in Bournemouth, Kristi and Warren have trained generations of successful dancers. Their students have won World, European, and UK Championship titles year after year. By the late 2010s, dancers trained under their guidance had accumulated more than 30 World Championship titles across various age groups.
Among their proudest coaching achievements was seeing dancers they had taught from their very first juvenile steps progress all the way to World Championship finals. Their success as coaches reflects the same dedication, professionalism, and passion that defined their competitive careers. [
Warren has also contributed to the broader development of ballroom dancing through his involvement with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), serving in leadership positions within the Modern Ballroom Faculty.

A Longstanding Partnership with Chrisanne Clover
Throughout their competitive career, Kristi and Warren worked closely with Chrisanne Clover.
The couple regard Chrisanne Clover as the industry's benchmark for quality, creativity, and professionalism. Kristi credits the company as an important part of their competitive success and describes it as an honour to be associated with a brand that has maintained such a strong reputation across the international dance world.
Their longstanding partnership was built on a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and attention to detail—qualities that are essential both in dance and couture design.
Kristi's Style: Elegance with a Modern Edge
One aspect Kristi particularly appreciates about Chrisanne Clover is the company's ability to stay at the forefront of ballroom fashion trends. Rather than adhering to a single style, she has enjoyed experimenting with evolving designs throughout her career while maintaining elegance and sophistication.
When choosing ballroom gowns, Kristi values contemporary styling, exceptional craftsmanship, and designs that feel fresh and current. She appreciates that each dress offers a unique personality and often describes every new gown as becoming her favourite the moment she wears it for the first time.
