Starting the New Year with full on glitz and glam saw the renowned UK Open Championships take place in Bournemouth, a fabulous way to dance step into the year of 2018!

Showcasing our stunning collection of dancewear and couture the CHRISANNE CLOVER team were ready to greet customers and friends at the Bournemouth International Centre. With our Japan colleagues joining forces with our UK head office we had the privilege of having Masayo and Yuna with their knowledge and experience, join us with our fabulous team Jamie, Sissi, Natalie, Giles and Ronnie.

The much-anticipated Launch Party of our NEW collection of CHRISANNE CLOVER DANCEWEAR took place on the opening day of our stand. Showcasing a gorgeous mix of styles and colours in 2 colour ranges Black and Purple Rain. A fantastic colour combination that can be paired with the same colour piece or mix match between the two colours. Not only was this collection a huge hit at this event but also in great demand with the pre-comp rush at the Boutique and with customer orders.

‘The FLARE LATIN DRESS and IMPERIAL BALLROOM DRESS were much sought-after pieces in both the Purple Rain and Black colours. The dancewear being readily available in the colour Purple Rain was favoured by all our customers and, with the mix of 2 colours together the dancewear really made our stand look extremely eye-catching. ‘

CHRISANNE CLOVER were very proud and honoured to share our stand with the ever popular Espen Salburg. Having Espens beloved presence with us in Bournemouth, led to a crowd of dancers and customers flocking to the stand to try on Espens exquisite evening wear and dancewear pieces, as well as to meet and greet with the man himself. Our R&D team were very excited to meet up with Espen to discuss design ideas for our future collaborated dancewear collection to be released later this year.

Displaying an immense collection of beautiful and unique couture dresses was our main focus at this event. Showcasing exquisite designs in an array of colours and crystals with feathers, laces and divine attention to detail, each couture dress is a beauty in its own right, setting the trend for the year to come.

Not only showcasing our dazzling couture at our stand, but also on the dancefloor with our brilliant sponsors dancing beautifully in CHRISANNE CLOVER COUTURE. Each dress has been designed and made suiting to each dancers individual style and personality which radiated ever so elegantly on the dancefloor.

A personal favourite couture dress of mine was Izabela’s finale dress. Beautiful attention to detail with the crystallization artwork was enhanced magnificently with boa floats, making this dress completely ooz class and sophistication …

Talking to Carol Powell in the Cheam Boutique after Bournemouth was an insightful vision of what trended on the dancefloor at this event and what we expect to see the for the year to come…

‘Couture dresses just seem to get better and better and this season was no exception. I thought the crystal design work on the dresses on the dancefloor was absolutely breath taking.  The simplicity of a ballroom dress with just a column of colour embellished in beautiful stonework was pure elegance. Beautiful shaded chiffon was also a trend setter on the dancefloor with a personal favourite of hematite shading looking radiant on the competition floor. Strong bold colours such as Orange and Tropic Lime was also a beauty to behold. The UK Open saw the return of sequins in a big way – the bigger the sequin the better. Strong colours and stunning crystalized artwork pave the way forward for style for this year 2018’s Ballroom dance fashion. Seeing all the beautifully made dresses on the dancefloor really made me want to wear a Ballroom dress again!’

With our R&D team spectating the competitons at this event it has inspired our team to brainstorm lots of new and exciting fabric collections for 2018…

‘Velvet was a very prominent fabric on the dancefloor and lots of beautiful crystallization. We are very excited about the developments and projects we will be working on with new colours, fabrics and SWAROVKSI CRYSTALS. With the amazing popularity of our CHRISANNE CLOVER DANCEWEAR flying through the roof we are looking at expanding this collection with LIMITED EDITION pieces later on this year…’.
